(Received August 17, at 10.40 a.in.) A message IToui Saskatoon (Saskatchewan) says that, owing to frost damage to the wheat crops in that bolt a week ago, it is now generally admitted that it will bo impossible to give an accurate estimate of the crop until threshing is in band. The prospects are still good for a bettor than the average throughout Canada, provided that the weather is favorable, but there have been heavy rains recently in Manitoba and parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta. Rust is now quite general, but it is only serious with the late crops. Harvesting is expected to be going on extensively next week, which is about ten days latci than usual. CHICAGO WHEAT QUOTATIONS. NEW YORK, August IU. (Received August 17, at 10.40 a.m.) Chicago wheat quotations September, 1111 cents per bushel; December, 140); March, IRQ. DAIRY PRODUCE. The National Mortgage and Agency Co. is in receipt of the following cable from Messrs A. J. Mills and Co., Ltd., London, dated August 13:— Butter.—The market is quiet. Now Zealand butter this week, 168&, 1725; selling slowly at advanced, prices. Cheese.—The market is steady. New Zealand white and colored cheese, 925, 935; fair demand. LONDON MARKETS. Messrs Dalgety and Co,, Ltd., have received the following cable from London, dated August 16:—“Tallow. Owing to lack of demand, there will bo no” public sales this week. Wellington.—Sales: N.Z. Breweries Bonds, £1 3s Sd; National Bank of Australia (£10), £l7 2s; National Mortgage, £3 3s (id. Reported: Gear Meat, £1 16s 3d.
