DISCIPLINED AFTER BAUME CASE fpER United Press Association.^ WELLINGTON, August 12. An action was begun in the Supreme Court for the issue "of a mandamus to the Rost and Telegraph Appeal Board directing it to consider the appeal of an officer who was disciplined after the Baumc case, wherein £l,llO sterling was fraudulently obtained from the Rost Office Savings Bank by means of cheques. All the money hut £B4 was recovered, and various officers of the department wore lined dillcrcnt sums to make up this amount. Rlaintiff was fined £lO, and alleges that he was not given an opportunity to appeal.
