CYCLISTS’ REFLECTORS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,-—I am delighted to see that the Otago Motor Club has requested the Minister of Justice to lake steps to have the law enforced against cyclists who rido at night without rear re-. Hectors. The law has been in force, on paper, for about twelve months, but, so far as Dunedin is concerned, the police take no action against the hundreds who fail to observe it. All motorists agree that tho cyclist, motor or push, without a reflector is one of the greatest dangers they have to guard against, especially on wet nights. On a recent evening I watched a number of cyclists who were breaking this very necessary law pass by a sergeant and constable, but not a word was said to them. Would they have been as lenient to motorists breaking any of the hundred and one regulations that govern them? Hoping that the police ■will soon wake up and take action.—l am, etc., Reflector. August 12.
