ARMENTIERES TOWN CLOCK HANDS TO BE RETURNED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. PARIS, August 10. (Received August H,.at 10 a.m.) A former British officer has sent a letter to the Mayor ol Amentieres stating that the hands of the town clock, which have been missing since the armistice, are being returned. As the result of sholllire the clock stopped at 11.30. This was regarded as an omen of the time the war would end, which was subsequently justified, and the hands were taken as souvenirs.
