Some duck eggs which were being hatched in England were accidentally cracked. A fifteen-year-old boy repaired them with motor cycle patches, and a fine duckling was hatched from each. Wooden houses erected on the London County Council’s housing estates are very popular with their tenants, who claim that their homes are warmer and drier than the kick or. concrete structures.
