POSITION IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA STOPPAGE OF DOLE. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. ADELAIDE, July 27. (Received July 27, at 11 a.m.) A deputation of unemployed Maltese migrants Waited on the Premier (Sir R. Butler) and complained that their dole of 10s 6d weekly had been stopped. They said that many of them were returned soldiers. They did not want charity, but work. At least 100 Maltese were destitute and had no money and little clothing. Sir R. Butler replied that tho Government had decided to discontinue the dole, which was granted by the previous Government, in order to place all tho unemphgyed on the same level.
