PROPOSAL ENDORSED CONFERENCE IN SYDNEY. Press Association—Bv Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, July 20. (Received July 20, at 10.20 a.m.) A conference, attended by Mr Bruce. Mr Lang, and representatives of tho organisations connected with the primary and secondary industries and trade and commerce of Australia, also influential citizens, endorsed a proposal to hold in Sydney a British Empire exhibition for the purpose of promoting the interests of the Empire in general, and of Australia in particular. Mr Bruce said it was contemplated that the exhibition should be held in 1931, and the probable site would be Centennial Park. It would bo open for six months.
