Time goes on, and, despite the reward of £250 olfcred by the Government for information leading to the discovery oi tho Bin-wood murderer, no ".crest has been made. Mr Bmldo (Kaiapoi) represented to the Ministei of Justice in the House to-day that alarm and unrest were felt in the district over the matter and the realisation that this appeared to be another of a seims of cases in which a murderer had remained at large. Ho asked the Minister of Justice if everything possible was being done. Could the reward he increased ? Mr Bolleston (Minister of Justice) replied that the toward had been only available for a week or ten days. o police were taking every possible stop to linu tile murderer, but be hud not had the opportunity of considering tho possibility of increasing the reward lie could only add that everything humanly possible to discover the criminal was being clone by tho police.
