It is reported from Rio de Jouoiro that the Portuguese airman, Major Dc Beires. and his crew are sate; hut he lost his piano in a storm. He will return ' to Europe by steamer with his three companions. Tho airman left Para for Georgetown on Juno 7, and after flying thirty miles a mishap to the engine compelled them, to descend in the sea. When they were about to resume tho flight a himo wave engulfed tho plane, wrecking it completely. The men hung tenaciously for three hours to the wreckage, with the waves washing over them, until they were rescued by a'fishing boat. —-Sydney ‘ Sun ’ Cable.
