BEETHOVEN CENTENARY CONCERT.

TO THE EDITOH. Sir, —Being one of many who arc giving their services in the Beethoven centenary concert, 1 would like to inquire whether the promoters of the concert arc following in Beethoven’s footsteps and giving something to help others, or if they arc helping themselves. In other words, arc the proceeds of the concert to go to help the needy, or arc the professionals to receive them? W'hon performers give thoir services free it is the usual custom to .and them complimentary tickets, unless the proceeds arc for charity or other laudable purpose. As the performers are not being presented with complimentary tickets, i presume the proceeds are for charity; but, as there is no mention of this in the advertisements, could you please enlighten me? —I am, etc., Musician. Juno 16.
