Improvements arc needed at the pavilion of the Maori Hill Association football Club, and in order to raise the necessary money a concert was held in the local Coronation Hall last evening. The programme was given by the pupils of Mr John Leech. , I’he following contributed Miss A. Matheson, ‘Homeland ’; Miss Molly Burns, ‘ Harbor Night Song ’; Miss Lily Stevens, ‘ Five Little Picanninies ’; Miss Doris M'Gurdy, ‘The Almond Tree’; Mr Arnold Perry in an operatic number; Mrs Stanley Foote, ‘ A Heart That’s True’; Mr Les Stubbs, ‘My Friend’; and Messrs James and Allen Simpson, a duet, ‘ The Moon Has Raised.’ Several recitations were given by Miss Molly Gallagher, and Mr W. Lo _ Gal was responsible for two very fine violin solos. The Eclvhoff twins danced, thus adding variety to the programme. If all the air sacs in the iunpS'. of an adult were spread out they would cover am. area of 100 square yards.
