There has been much opposition to the proposal, as, apart from introducing a new language, there is rha obvious danger of reconciling the texts in various languages with the English and French texts with the risk ' of mal-interprctalien, and consequent!/ varying methods of carrying into effect toe provisions of the conventions. When the vote was taken there were fiftv-eight in favor of the German proposal and forty-two against it. Ihe Australian workers’ delegate voted m favor of the German proposal. SELECTION OF DELEGATES. GENEVA, June 9. (Received Juno 10, at 1.30 a.m.) Mr Gulley said that he was convinced that the selection of the future workers’ delegates for Australia should be in the hands of the unions, instead of the Prime Ministers., This would become a burning question.
