FOUND IN HARBOR
INQUEST OPENED The'body of the man which was found floating in the harbor near the Kitchener street wharf yesterday morning was later identified as that of James Young, 68 years of age. who was a native of England, and who, until February last, was an inmate of the Benevolent Institution. Since then he has been with the Little Sisters of the Poor. An inquest was opened at the morgue this niorning, Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., sitting as coroner. Sergeant Turner watched proceedings on behalf of tho police. Evidence of identification was given by Douglas Macpherson, manager or the Benevolent Institution, who said that deceased had been an inmate of the home for about two years, and bud no known relatives in New Zealand or elsewhere. Ho was a single man and an able seaman by trade. He left the institution in February to go into that of the Little Sisters of the_ Poor. He was last seen alive in tlfe city on April 26 by an inmate of the. institution, when he stated his intention of doing away with himself, as he was tired of life. The inquest was adjourned until tomorrow, at 10 a.m., at the courthouse.
