“GIVE ME THE BAG" LADY CASHIER ACTS PROMPTLY [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, May 10. Late last night a lady cashier in the office of a large city hotel was accosted by a masked man, who, pointing a revolver at her, said: “ Give me the bag.” Th.e lady, who was alone in the office, promptly stepped out of line of fire and rang the house bell, with the result that the intruder bolted. He had a black handkerchief over the lower part of his face, and had fairly gasped out his demand for the bag. He was seemingly more nervous than the lady in the office. At the time when , the affair occurred the head cashier is usually placing in the strong room the receipts for the day.
