Mrs Frances Wilson, 568 George street, Dunedin, writes;— “ ‘ MISS NEW ZEALAND, 1927.’ “ When it is considered how many and diverse are the qualifications necessary to the equipment of a successful screen star, one fully realises that the outward form of beauty takes a fair aspirant only halfway. I should invest my ideal girl with a graceful figure, good facial contour, beautiful expressive eyes, and perfect health. Then she must possess in a marked degree the artistic temperament, which, having been directed along suitable lines, fosters in her a love of good music, literature, and works of art. I would have her an ardent lover of Nature, fond of walking, and a good dancer. Such a girl ns I have m my mind would absorb the best and most beautiful in all her experiences, and would charm and captivate as naturally as she would breathe. Add to these gifts and graces a sense of humor, adaptability, and tho wall to succeed, and in my ideal girl we shall have a representative who will be a credit to tho women of New Zealand.—(Mrs) Frances Wilson.” A cheque has been forwarded Mrs Wilson by to-day’s mail. The Personality Competition will close to-morrow night. A new competition will be announced in a few days. ;■
