CATALINA CHANNEL RECORD SUCCESS OF CALIFORNIAN. SAN FRANCISCO, April 26. The time of Georgo Young’s Catalina Channel swim (twenty-two miles) was lowered on Sunday by 2h lOmin by Byron Summers, aged twenty-eigbt, of Glendale, California. ■ Summers was one of the participants in the January marathon, but was forced to drop out through cramp when he was leading His time was lS)h.
