(Received May 7, at 1.30 a.m.) A naval wireless from Swatow states that the Reds are advancing slowly, and will be a considerable menace to the city unless reinforcements arrive in time. The British cruiser, Danae (4,650 tons), is guarding British interests there. She has an armament of six 6in guns, and a complement of 462 officers and men.
