DEPRESSION IN JAPAN
A POLITICAL CRISIS SITUATION TENSE. Press Association—By Telograp a—Copyright. TOKIO, May 5. (Received May 6, at 1.30 a.m.) Addressing the Lower House, the Prime Minster, General Tanaka, after outlining the events leading to the economic depression in the country, asked Parliament to support the Finance Bills. Notwithstanding predictions, the Opposition immediately, commenced obstructing and is awaiting sn opportunity to defeat the Government. The situation is the tensest known in any national crisis. The outcome will yemain doubtful for twenty-four hours.
