VISCOUNT COWDRAY
DIED IN HIS SLEEP LARGE PHILANTHROPIC GILTS. Proas Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 2. Viscount Cowdray had been in poor health for several months, suffering from heart trouble, but he was well enough on Tuesday to travel to Aberdeen to receive the freedom of the city with Lady Cowdray. It was unique for a husband and wife to be thus honored simultaneously, but jointly they had given £IOO,OOO to hospitals, the university, and other local objects. / The day—indeed, the very hour—of the intended honor will now be the time of the funeral. Lord Cowdray died in his sleep.
