BRITISH GUNBOAT ATTACKED ! CABINET DISCUSSES SITUATION (British Official News.) .. Press Association—By. Wireless—Copyright. RUGBY, April 27. (Received April 28, at 11 a.m.) One of the latest incidents in the Yangtse region is an attack which was made yesterday near Chinfciang on the British gunboat Cockchafer. The Cockchafer returned the fire with her main armament of two six-inch guns. The Cockchafer was the gunboat concerned in the Wanhsien action where her commanding officer (Commander Acheson) was wounded. " • The situation in China was the chief subject discussed at a meeting of Cabinet to-day.
