(Received April 18, at 11.3 U a.m.) A Franco-German Rugby match, the first ever played, attracted 25,QU0 people, and resulted in victory for suppleness and nimbleness bver weight and clumsiness. The Military Band did not attend, as the bandmaster refused M. Briand’s request to play the German Republican Anthem as well as the ‘ Marseillaise.’ The Locarno spirit prevailed throughout the match. The French captain presented a flag to the German skipper, and the latter handed over a bouquet, A slight booing of the Germans from one stand resulted in a fellow Frenchman punching the offenders., The match took' place at Colombes Stadium, and France won by three goals and five tries to one goal.
