DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. A considerable number of stock* were quoted this morning, buyers being more numerous than for some days past. A sale was. reported of National Banks at £7 3s, and the market closed with a buyer at £7 2s Cd. Bank of New Zealands wero wanted at 59s 6d, with no seller under (50s 3d, and Union Banks at £ls 6s. in the insurance section Nationals bad buyers at 72s 6d, with a seller at 74s (id; New Zealands were sought at 36s 3d, and Standards at 565. Iluddart, Parkers firmed slightly, having buyers at 46s 6d. P. and O.’s also showed slight improvement, with a buyer at £252 and no seller under £260. Westport Coals were wanted at 35s ‘ld, with sellers quoting 35s 9d. For Canterbury Meats and New Zealand Refrigerating shares buyers respectively offered £8 and 13s 6d, without attracting sc'lers Wilburn Lime and Cements wen- on offer at 275, and M'Leod’s Snaps were sought at £25. New Zealand Breweries, lid., were wanted at 51s, sellers quoting and the debentures were obtainable at 24s 4d. In the min ng _ division Kawarau buyers offered 3s, with sellers at 3s 4d; Waihis were wanted at 16s 6d, with sellers at 17s; St, Bathans (paid) were quoted at 3s and 4s 3d, and Upper Nevises _ continued firm. The buying and selling quotations of the latter line were 2s 6d and 4s 6d premium. The War Bonds market was much the same as last week’s. Sale reported:—National Bank, £7 &.
