DEFINITE ORDERS GIVEN.

LONDON, March 26,

Mr Ashmead- Bartlett, cabling from Shanghai to the ‘ Daily Telegraph,’ says it is now definitely settled that the Cantonese entered Nanking in perfect cider, with no intention to molest the foreigners; but two hours later definite orders were received to organise attacks and hunt up tlm foreigners. There was little looting of Chinese property, tho whole fuiy of the Cantonese being directed against the consulates and European civilians.
