That a good, bright, clean show will nlwavs receive its lair measure of support from the public was again evidenced last night, when His Majesty’s Theatre housed a largo audience for the second performance by the Humphrey Bishop Musical Comedy Company Brightness and variety are the keynotes of an entertainment winch moves merrily along from beginning to end, and, though the comedy element is far from lacking, the company is particularly fortunate in numbering among its dozen or so artists several fine vocalists and clever dancers. The bulk of the broad, corncclv falls on George Ross, better known as,'* Reratcher.” the stage carpenter, and' ho early establishes himself as a prime favorite with the audience. Walter Kingsley’s fine baritone was heard to advantage in several numbers, the most appreciative of which was the rousing song ‘ Th« Stoker.’ Dorothy Ryder, a charming eoubrettc, is x icraarkably versatile ana graceful performer, taking part in several song and danco numbers, one of the best of which was a specialty act in which she appeared with Fred. Webber, a particularly good tenor. Charles Albert is as popular as of old, and as the dame his chat on ‘ Mon ’ brought forth roars of laughter. Ho also took part in a clever light comedy turn, in which ho had the assistance ot Evadne, Rovle as the pretty, vivacious typiste. Tliero were no weak acts in the programme, others who participated in specialty acts being Thelma li'ott, Mark Leslie. Elaine Move, John Montfort (the whispering tenor), Marie London, and Humphrey BishopThe programme will be repeated tins evening. There will bo a complete change on Thursday and a special halfprice matinee on Saturday.
