TRADING IN FUTURES COTTON EXCHANGE INVESTIGATION. press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, March 26. Arrangements for trading in wool futures on the New York Cotton Exchange are expected to result ; from inquiries by the ISxchange Committee, the chairman of which said that a jiractical plan could he worked out to give consumers of wool the same protection that cotton buyers now enjoy through hedging facilities. He said that where the need for a future market exists and the volume of business transacted justifies the establishment of such, a way will he found eventually to overcome the difficulties. The committee will investigate the industry from every angle, such as production, market preparation, the shipping market, distribution, weaving, and spinning. Tlie hearings will probably be held at Boston, Philadelphia, and other wool centres, and the co-operation of the United States will bo sought.
