ARMY MEAT CONTRACT
THE SUCCESSFUL TENDER BELOW AUSTRALIAN PRICE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 23. (Received January 24, at 9.40 a.m.) Weddels secured the Army meat contract for their now Buenos Aires works. They refuse to mention the price, but state that it is much below' that of the Australian tenders. According to the ‘Standard,’ the successful tender was 70d per dozen tins. The Australian tender was 84d, the total difference being £7,300.— Sydney ‘ Sun ’ cable.
