NOMINATION REFUSED
RESENTMENT IN LABOR CIRCLES ULTIMATUM TO GOVERNMENT. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, January 13. (Received January 13, at 10.35 a.m.) The Federal Government has refused to accept the nomination of Mr J. Garden, secretary of the New South Wales Labor Council, as a member of the Industrial Commission which is to bo sent to the United States. The refusal has created great resentment, and the council has informed the Government that if the nomination is not accepted the State will refuse to bo represented. Support for this attitude has been received from labor councils in other States, and it is understood that the American Labor Federation will refuse to receive the delegation unless Mr Garden is accepted.
