A NEWSPAPER QUANDARY NEW BRITISH LAW. Tress Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 12. (Received January 13, at 9.55 a.m.) The newspapers are in a quandary over the publication of the Chaplin divorce case. Lengthy American despatches are reduced to a few lines to comply with the new Judicial Proceedings Act. Tho newspapers explain that they are liable to criminal prosecution it they publish a photograph of Chaplin alongside a paragraph stating that he is being sued for a divorce. Jt is questionable whether foreign newspapers., publishing the details, will be permitted to he sold in England - Sydney ‘ Sun ’ Cable.
