The functions of the general and local government bodies are explained, and then we come to statistical information in regard to population, land tenure and settlement, finance, transport and communication, trade, industry, and production, and the other manifold interests of tho Commonwealth. This issue also contains a specially contributed article dealing with forestry in Australia. It is n. book of over 1,000 pages, and it has been compiled with painstaking care amd efficiency.
