Police-inspector Murray, who is promoted to suhcecd to the superintendency at Dunedin, arrived from New Pdymouth last night. He knows the district, having been previously stationed here. Judge Gilfedder came from Southland this morning, and went on by the 11.40 train, bound for Wellington. Air E. F. Duthie travelled by train to Oamaru to-day.
