In commenting on the deaths from alcoholic poisoning during the Christmas holidays, Dr'Charles Norris, chief medical examiner at the Brooklyn Hospital, charged the Government with moral responsibility, because this liquor was purposely poisoned to render it impossible to drink it, while the Government at the same time know that the bootleggers constantly distilled the poiL. son out of it. Ho added: “The bootleggers are rushed to death, and do not give sufficient time for the poison to steep out.
