EFFECT OF TUBE RAILWAYS INCREASE IN VALUES. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, December 29. (Received December 29, at 9.5 a.m.) According to the report of the city assessor, one of the effects of the rapidly-approaching completion of the city underground railway will be a new assessment of unimproved values for rating purposes to operate at the beginning of the new year, and showing approximately an increase of £10,000,000 in such values.
