SECOND DAY There was a fair attendance at the commencement of the second day of the Dunedin Jockey Club's Meeting. The course was in good order. Results:— MILBURN HURDLE HANDICAP, 200sovs; second 40, third 20. 11m. I—J. Gaffaney’s Kqpuna (Saxby — Lady Symons), syrs, 9.3 (H. Anderton) , 1 t—H. Dampier-Crossley’s Bonomel, 9.4 (W. Cooper) 2 I—H. A. Bland's Radiac, 10.13 (A. Wormald) ... 3 Others: 2 Adjutor 11.12 (A. Ruthven), 4 Guncase 10.12 (J. T. Huiuphcies), 5 Coastguard 10.2 (C. Dawson), 3 Kaikahu 10.2 (G. Salt). Radiac, Guncase, and Kapuna led to the stand. Kapuna took the lead as they went to the mile jump, followed along the back by Kaikahu and Radiac, the whole seven fairly well bunched. No change took place in the back stretch, where Kapuna had a lead of two lengths. Kaikahu made a bad jump at the second fence from home. Kapuna led into the straight, and there was a splendid finish, five of them coming home almost in line. Kapuna, however, was never displaced, and won by a length, with Radiac half a length further back; Kaikahu fourth, Adjutor next, and Guncase last. Time, 2min 53 2-ssec.

Dwyer), 9 Fairy Tidings car. 7.2 (H. Hogan). A good start, from which some of the horses carried the tape. Equerry was first to show in front, followed by Jolly Glad and Gold Mint, and they went thus to the mile mark. Along the back stretch the order was the same. At the fivc-furlong mark Solrose had worked through to second place behind Equerry. At the three furlongs the order was Equerry, Solrose, and Battle Colors. Equerry led into straight from Solrose and Gold Mint, and a spread-out finish resulted in Solrose winning by a length and a-quarter, Gold Mint three lengths away, Battle Colors fourth, and Obligio fifth. _ Time, 2min llsec. Roman Archer carried tho tape all the way in the race.

Dooley), 6 Traction 7.7 (W. Brown). Tembroney was standing by herself many lengths back when the start was given. The others went away well, with Money Mine and Money Peer together in front. Money Mine at once dropped out, and Don. Jose went on after Money Peer, Traction next. Don Jose led into the straight from Money Peer and Jericho, and in an interesting finish Jericho won by a length and a-half, with Arrowy, who finished fast, four lengths away, Money Peer fourth, and Traction next. ST. ANDREW’S HANDICAP, 400sovs; second 80, third 40. lm. 4—C. Tlazlett’s Dismantle (Tractor

Corn Money was fidgety at the post, but a good start was effected, from which Dismantle at once took a strong lead from Corn Money and Geranial. At the five-furlongs Dismantle was three lengths in front of Corn Money, Geranial a length further back. Approaching the straight Corn Money got to within a length of Dismantle, but the latter led into the straight, with Geranial third. Dismantle had to be shaken up inside the distance, but he got home all right by a length, third half a length away, Vaward a length further back, and the favorite last. Time, Imin 42 3-ssec.
