VIOLENT EARTHQUAKE
ALBANIAN TOWN SHAKEN A THOUSAND PEOPLE HOMELESS. pxeas Association—By Telegraph—'Copyright ROME, December 27. (Received December 28, at 9.65 a.m.) Numerous houses were destroyed at Dnrazzo, Albania, by a violent earthquake. Reports from the Royal Legation at Dnrazzo states that more than one thousand people are without shelter. Signor Mussolini has ordered measures to be taken to provide for the homeless at Tirana, Albania. Violent earthquake shocks persisted for several days in the mountain zone near Dnrazzo, where a new crater is in constant eruption. Water in a nearby lake is boiling furiously, and the inhabitants of the region are fleeing in terror.
