MINE MANAGERS

CANDIDATES FOR CERTIFICATES In connection with the annual examinations under the Coal Mines Act, held at Huntley, Reef ton, and Dunedin recently, the Board of Examiners under that Act. at its annual meeting held at Wellington, was pleased to grant the following;— First class mine manager’s ceitificates: J. E. Lewis, Ohai; J. M‘Lelland, Kaitangata. Second class mine manager’s ceitiflcates: A. Colligan, Nightcaps; W. Parfitt, Millerton; J. S. Chippendale, Stockton; J. W. Leonard, Hnntly. Partial passes were also granted as follows:—

First class mine manager’s certificate: R. Hall, Brunnerton. Second class mine manager’s certificates; V. Curran, Pukemiro; IV. Johnston, Pukemiro; R. L. Godden, Pukemiro; R. M'Donald, Milton. In addition to the above the Board of Examiners, under the Mining Act, 1920, in connection with the annual examination under that Act, held at Waihi recently, was pleased to grant the following:—

First class mine manager’s certificate: John Williams, Waihi.

A partial pass for a battery superintendent’s certificate was also’granted A. S. Morrison, Waihi.
