PRINCESS THEATRE

HEW STAR BILL TO-DAY To-night will usher iu a long-looked-for event at Pullers’ Theatre, the arrival of the Hector St. Clair _ Company with a brand new of witticisms, songs, and originalities. The first package to be opened is ‘ Something Doing,’ containing bright, snappy sketches, novel specialties, and vocal treats. The head of this baud of clever entertainers is Hector St. Clair, a well-known comedian on the Australian and English stage. Hector is just a little different, having a quaint, whimsical stylo that soon nas his audience in a simmer of merriment. Supporting him will lie many wellknown artists, such as Lee Pearce, who has played lead in several Hugh J. Ward productions. Mr Pearoo has an outstanding personality and a voice of exceptional brilliance. Miss Lillian Grey is a character and utility artist direct from the leading London music halls. Miss Maylin M'Gill is a charming little leading lady with a delightful soprano voice.; lOct Cresswell and Ray M‘Lean are whirlwind dancers who see that there is “ something doing ” when thev dance, and Victor Roberts (the producer of tho revue) has many original and novel ideas in the effect department. The vaudeville half of the programme will consist of five first-class acts. Two head-liners to make their first appearance in Dunedin are M'Donald and Payne, two breezy Scottish entertainers, whose work sparkles wtih fun and music, and Grant and Bates (colored comedians), in an act of niger melodies and shuffling steps. Huley and Rent, Clyde and Yvette, and Sam Stern are established favorites, who will present brand new acte.
