COLD SNAP IN EUROPE SEVERAL DEATHS REPORTED. Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. PARIS, December 26. The weather is so cold in Eastern France that wild beasts are driven from the forests to seek shelter and food in the villages. A herd of hoars last night from Argoime Forest invaded the suburb of Vitry Lo Francois, and wore hunted by an armed posse. The temperature in the Vosges was 16 degrees centigrade below zero. Gales, snow, and ice are reported even in Biarritz. Several deaths are recorded from the cold in Eastern and Northern France, while the Mediterranean coast reports a snowfall of an inch in depth.
