APPEARED DRUNK—DEATH FROM APOPLEXY. On Christmas Kve an elderly man, John Kennedy, was arrested and placed in the cell in Taranaki street station on a charge _ol drunkenness, When he was visited at an early hour next morning ho was found dead.
