diMedin centre executive. The monthly meeting of the executive was held last night, Mr D. M. I* astier in the chair. Others present were Messrs Allan, Connor, Rowley, Sullivan, M'Gregor, Henaghan, Cameron, Ledlie. Mlunnou, Todd, and HarraArising out of Southland Centre’s recommendations to the council that all bowls tested should bear the date of the year in which they were passed and be good for five years, it was resolved that the Dunedin Centre support the recommendation. Greciv Island Club complained that a member who had left them his subscription was now playing with Fairfield Club—The Secretary said that ho had rung up the Fairfield Club secretary, who asserted that the player in question was not a member of his chib. —lt was resolved to inform Green Island Club accordingly. Word was received that, owing to Mr E. Falconer’s illness, he wished to resign his position ns representative of Otago Clv'b on the executive, also his position ns centre selector. Mr J. A. MTvinnon had been chosen, by Otago (dub to act in Mr Falconer’s place.— It was resolved to accept Mr Falconer’s resignation with regret, to appoint Mr MTunnon in his place on the executive, and to appoint Mr D. C. Cameron to act with Messrs Sullivan and Tonkin as centre selectors. j The Wnkatipu Bowling Club asked that the Dunedin players who intended to journey to Central Otago, this season include Queenstown in their itinerary at Christmas time.—Resolved to reply that the Dunedin players would make their visit about the end of January, and if possible would travel to Queenstown. A long discussion ensued concerning the games which had been postponed or unfinished in the darly part of the season on account of bad weather. The Match Committee had ordered that unfinished games should he decided within a certain time, but some chibs had not made any effort,to carry out tho Match Committee’s, instructions. Dunedin Club complained that, though it had written to Caledonian Club on tho matjter, no reply had been received. EvcnItually it was resolved that Caledonian {and Dunedin Clubs finish their game before the end of February; the other uncompleted and unstarted games on January 22. It was resolved to order fifty badges to be available to bowlers at cost, price. Mr Fasticr concluded the meeting by wishing all members of the executive the compliments of the season.
