LONDON, November 1 19, (Received November 20, at 9.55 a.m.) The customary pageantry attended the conferring. of the freedom of the city of-London at the Guildhall on Mr Coates, r General Hertzog, and Mr Monroe, the guests including the Duke and Duchess of York, Prince, Arthur of Connaught, Mr L. S. Amery, the High Commissioners, Agents-General, and conference members. The, .City Lands Committee received the Prime Ministers at the porch and conducted them, preceded by the City Marshal, the under-sheriffs, the town clerk, and the aldermen, and escorted by the 1 sword bearer and the mace hearer to the dais where the Lord Mayor-(Sir Roland Blades) ;a'ml the’ sheriffs welcomed them, after which a charming little girl presenter each of the most prominent ladies with a beautiful bouquet of roses. The Town Clerk, gowned and bewigged, read the order Of the Common Council, directing the presentation of the freedom in & gold, box to the recipients.
