ARMED RAIDS IN CORK POLICE SERGEANT SHOT. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, November 14. A sensational _ series of raids is reported in Cork city and county. Armed men overpowered the Civic Guards and ransacked the police station, removing bundles of documents. They also shot dead Sergeant Fitzsimmons, who was in charge of St. Luke’s barracks, while ho was standing in the doorway. Simultaneously there were raids on other barracks.
