MORNINGTON SCHOOL EX-PULILS

ASSOCIATION FORKED The final meeting of the various committees in connection with the Moriiington School diamond jubileo was held last evening in the school gymnasium. Mr W. R. Don presided. It was reported that a special souvenir booklet had been printed, and already 234 copies had been sold. Tho Chairman of the Finance Committee (the Rev. G. E. Moreton) reported that there was £56 8s 4d in hand after all the accounts had been paid. _ He thanked all those who had contributed toward the success of the jubilee (held last November)._ The second part of the meeting dealt with the formation of an ex-pupils’ association. The Chairman briefly outlined the objects of the proposed association. It was to promote social intercourse between the ex-pupils of the school, and to assist in tho general welfare of the school. ,» The following office-bearers were elected:—Patron, Sir Charles Statham; president, Rev. G. E. Moreton;; vicepresidents—Messrs W. R. Don, Arthur Allen, B. Sparrow, James Matheson, and P. Priest, Miss M'lntyro, and Mrs Taverner; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Sainsbury; committee—Messrs A. Thomas, H. Frapwell, Mesdames Provo, Allen, Williamson, and Blythe, Blisses Davidson, Moody, and Williamson. It was decided that the annual subscription be 2s 6d. It was decided that tho association he called the Mornington School ExPupils’ Association.
