SES ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP

YESTERDAY AFTERNOON'S PLAY The weather was again . fine for yesterday afternoon’s play in .connection with the Now Zealand ladies gelt championship, but there was.a strong wind blowing. Several ties, in earner events were fought out, Miss Gulling and Miss Payton, both of Auckland, winning the play-offs for the best gross and net scores in connection with the Donnelly Cup match. Miss O. Kay won the Mellsop Cup, and the second bogev match yesterday afternoon resulted in another tie between Miss DKay (St. Clair) and Miss Culling (Auckland), each being 8 down on Mrs Milne (16) had the best ram in tho second prado, being 6 down. Miss Kay (St..Clair) and Mrs Lemon (Otago) tied for the K-attray Cup (for the best aggregate in the two matches, and this will yet liavo to be decided). The cards returned in the second bogey handicap were as follows:—

Miss O. Kay (3), 3 down. Miss Culling (5), 3 down. Miss Acheson (4), 4 down. Mrs Pumphrey (4), 5 down. Miss White-Parsons (7), 5 down. Mrs Milne (16), 5 down. Mrs Bell (9), 6 down. Miss M. Miss Kay (3) and Mrs Lemon (6) tied in tbe Rattray Cup (for the best aggregate in two bogey matches). DONNELLY CUP. The play-offs for the best net and aross scores in the Donnelly Cup match were won by Miss Culling (Auckland) and Miss M. Payton (Auckland) respectively.
