INTERNATIONAL VAUDEVILLE
Again His Blajesty’s Theatre was packed last night, when tho International Vaudeville Company made its third appearance. New Zealand Entertainers, Ltd., have brought a number of brilliant combinations on tour, but tho one now appearing in Dunedin could not bo excelled. In every turn there is outstanding quality, and variety is the keynote of the programme. Perhaps tho greatest attraction is tho Beauty Pageant, the four Otago finalists. “Bliss Canterbury” and her maid of honor appearing on the stage. The vocal items are given by Brian Lawrence, a young man with a remarkable tone, unforced, yet ringing and mellow; and Hilda Nelson, a particularly graceful soprano. Both sang pleasing songs of a class well above that usually heard on the vaudeville stage. Comedy is provided by Arthur Pond, a bright and clever burlesque artist; and den Osborne and Nell Perrycr, who present a most laughable Cockney sketch mi tho purchase of a runabout. A musical act on tho xylophones is staged by Ngairo and Tointou, who tap some pleasing melodies from the wooden bars. Perhaps one of,tho best jugglers seen in these parts for many a year is Salerno, who displays a bagful ot tricks, both dexterous and clever. The Bounding Blunroes nro a couple of American acrobats who disport themselves on a bouncing platform., Phillis Da Barry is a dancing and singing star. Tho programme is completed with a girl in the box mystery by Professor Sierak and Leah, “Blnid of tho Blist.” The vaudeville company will play in Dunedin up till Saturday night.
