A largo meeting of wharf laborers at Fremantle carried resolutions protesting that capital punishment was a relict of barbarism, and opposed .to tiie principles of trade unionism, calling upon organised Labor throughout Australia to register a protest against a tabor Government carrying out a sentence opposed to the accepted tenets of the Labor movement; also asking tho Gove: ament to reconsider its decision.
