Afc a conference of the Methodist Women’s Missionary Union, which is being held at Palmerston North,' it was announced that the headquarters of the dominion executive will be in .Palmerston North for the next three .years. Nominations were received for election to the. executive as follows:—President, Mrs H. E. Pacoy; secretary, Mrs F. K. llodder; treasurer, Mrs T. M. Pacey. A report of the Commission appointed to hear evidence regarding the petition presented praying for the union of the counties or taumarnnui, Ohura, and Katieko is now available for publication. The report recommended that there should be no amalgamation of the counties at the present time. The Commission decided to recommend that the (loiro block of the Ohura County and the Kirikau Biding of the Katieke County bo included in tl)o Jatunarupui County. ' '" '** 3 . j
