• A Christchurch Press Association telegram states that the Vive-regal party arrived .there Horn Wellington this morning, and proceeded to Timam. They will return _to Christchurch on October 28 after visiting Otago. At the annual meeting ot the St. John Ambulance Association medallions were presented to Flora Stricken, Frances M. Fegan.s, Lucy M‘Kernan. Florence L. M.‘Evny, and Jane Liddiooat.
Guests at the Grand Hotel include Messrs J. Miller and A. Wallis (Auckland), Mr W. Howe (AVollington), Mrs W. and'Miss M. Mitchell (Invercargill). Mr Howard Grant, of the British General Electric Company, has been appointed to a position on the Otago Electric Power Hoard.
