At the wool sales competition was strong and the best rates for the week wero secured for most lines. Dusty fleece wools were a little irregular. Comebacks met with very strong competition at full late rates. Greasy merino sold to 2CJd. BUTTER AND CHEESE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd., received the following cablegram from its London house, under date October G:—“Butter: New Zealand choicest, 150 s to 154 s perowt. Buyers holding off. Danish, 184 s. Cheese, 82s to 84s; market slow.”
