President Hlndonburg lias postponed his decision on General Von Seeckt’s resignation, which has created a political sensation, until ho discusses the matter with Dr Marx, General Von Seeckt’s action regarding Pjrinco Wilhelm led to a heated interview with Dr Gossler, tho Minister of Defence. No German general to-day enjoys anything like the same prestige and confidence. .He has converted the Reichswehr into the most perfectly trained 100,000 men in Europe, and while maintaining tho old traditions ho has modernised and democratised the ormy by establishing a now intimacy between tho officers and the rank and file. Moreover, ho is reputed to have completely revolutionised military tactics by a system which encourages a return to mobile warfare under new mechanical traditions.
