WIDOW'S SECRET

SKELETONS OF TWIN BABIES. LONDON, September 1. Jane Shaw, aged eighty-four, a widow, fell downstairs at her homo in Manchester, and died, keeping the secret of the skeletons of two infants, probably day-old twins, which were found in a tin box. They probably died half a century ago. Mrs Shaw, virtually a recluse, lived on the old age pension. The absence of relatives compelled the police to search, in the hope of obtaining a duo to her identity. Her few visitors often referred to the box, but Mrs Shaw avoided the subject, saying it contained linen.
